My e-mail to : termsofuse@paramount.com (It was the only email I could find for them and got a reply today)

Like the subject little of the a-mail states, I couldn't find the e-mail for the home entertainment department, and this question is mainly for them; Are there any plans for the Studio to release Steelbook packaging versions for the Star Trek(2009) and Transformers 2 on standard  DVD & Blue Ray in the US, I find it very disappointing that the consumers have to look to other regions and parts of the world to obtain these. Please advise. Thank you.

well hmph... i dunno what youve been doing, but i otoh have been praying day and night to the steelbook gods. i have sacrificed many an amaray case as well. i even go out and liberate lil and lesser steelbooks when i find them and care for them as my own. so i am well-deserved of this generousity bestowed upon us. you dont even have to thank me.

It makes me glad that we have had this info for days now and TODAY other boards are posting it like it's a surprise, well am proud to be a STEELBOOK HUNTER!!

Any ways, got a little bit of feedback from Paramount and depending on the $US gross, they are thinking to release GI JOE (yes I know, but I liked it!) with our precious metal case!!

The GI JOE SteelBookâ„¢ would be very nice.  I would like a bluray SteelBookâ„¢ released instead.  We are so behind in the times with these DVD releases.   Grin

I pre-ordered mine yesterday myself, and I got the same answer about a BR version. Seems like its only standard DVD.
